I think that Robert is a very caring person because, he took care of his owner when she needed the help. I also think that Robert is a good person because he wanted to end slavery. Robert Smalls is a man of honor because he took care of Mrs. McKee that he would take care of her. I think that Robert Smalls was a very kind and caring man, and he also was brave enough to live through the Civil War.

What this tells me of Robert is that he is a thoughtful man because they were fair with him and they gave him kindness, so in return he took care of him. He did this because he was a good person also. Because they took care of him and his mom, so when he went across to the north. Then he came back to take care of Mrs. McKee, when he heard that her husband died, he started to take care of her.

When Mr. McKee was his owner, he treated him nicely, so when he died Robert treated his wife kindly. He does this because they didn't act like other slaver owners. Robert knows that Mr. McKee would never separate his mother away from him, he thought of this because when he was little his mom took him to see a slave action and he saw a boy and his mom sobbing
