Moana is a young girl who lives on an island and destined to be the next chief. She loves her island and her people and also loves the water, but her father made it a strict rule that no one is allowed to sail or fish beyond the islands reef.

Moana's grandmother tought her about Maui and how he took the heart of Te Fiti and now ocean and islands are dying out. Moana finds out that her island is now dying and wants to do whatever she can to help save her family and her island. She realizes that the only way is to find Maui and make him restore the heart.

Meeting the Mentor

After Moana leaves and goes into the ocean, she encounters a horrific storm. She wakes up on a mysterious island with her pet chicken and upside down canoe. There, she meets Maui, who shes been told will help save her island and the world.

Crossing the First Threshold

After realizing that her island was dying, she went against her fathers orders and left, going beyond the reef to find Maui and make him restore the heart to save her island.

Moana finds and befriends Maui and together the sail across the sea to restore the heart, but first they have to retrieve Maui's magic hook, the must defeat the crab in order to get back his hook and ince they do, he has to defeat Te Ka to mass the border and get to Te Fiti. They also encounter many different sea monsters in the cave with the crab and in the ocean as they all want to steal the heart from Moana

Moana and Maui try to fight Te Ka to get past her in order to reach Te Fiti

The Supreme Ordeal

Once Moana goes back to Te Fiti after finally beating Te Ka, she realizes that Te Ka is Te Fiti and she must give Te Ka the heart. She tells the ocean to let Te Ka come to her and she successfully puts the heart back where it belongs.

Reward

After placing the heart where it belongs Te Fiti came back and for helping her, she fixes Moana's boat, and gave Maui a new hook.

Resurrection

Once the heart was restored, Moana's parents started to watch as the dead plants and flowers started to regain their colors and bloom, proving that Moana had saved her island.

Returning with Prize

Moana returned home free of harm to her parents with the prize of life. She sailed across the entire ocean to save her island and ended up also saving the world from dying. She proved herself to her father and started up what her ancestors had started and they started sailing.
