Week before challenge

Get off phone before 9:30pm

Don't check my phone at work

Reflection after week

1 . The first couple of nights I did a nice job and got good sleep. After the first two days I had a hard time with this challenge. Since my basketball practice end around 8:30, I would come home and get on my phone to check social media, texts, etc. I found myself doing this without thinking about the challenge and was pretty disappointed in myself.

2 . I didn't do as bad i thought, but not well. This was tough because on my down time when no students were around I would look at my email to see if anyone sent me anything. Also, getting text notifications through out the day didn't help me with this challenge.

Dinos Ambrosi TED talk. It gave a lot of perspective on the impact tech has on us. Would be a good video to show our students, friends and family.

8 digital life skills all children need – and a plan for teaching them. I thought this article did a great job showing us that tech etiquette and skills should be taught to our students.
