Everything seemed to be normal but the planes dropped pages with messages on them which basically said that they were trying to keep them safe from the war. When Lisa, her brother and cousin arrived at school Lisa's teacher was crying.

Although it never tells us what happens next, we can assume Lisa and Stefan reunited with their parents and Sarah but we don't know. Jesper was also left behind making us think he most likely died but judging by the fact that their is a sequel to the book called "Jesper" he is most likely alive.

The main idea of this chapter is just Lisa begging Stefan if she can join the resistance but Stefan feels guilty if she gets caught because it will be his fault. He also had to make sure that it was alright with the others in the resistance. My question is why he would be so quick to allow Lisa to join the resistance since she will be in danger.

Once he does arrive she begs him if she can join it and eventually Stefan allows her to but has to make sure it's alright with the others. Lisa is allowed into the resistance and is going to be sent on her mission on Friday where she has to get flyers from the laundry place and go spread them around her town so more people are informed about what's happening.

She had asked the people there if her mother could be a part of the resistance too and they agreed. She went on her mission and barfed on some soldiers and almost got caught. She was helped by some 20 people who came onto the bus and she developed a strategy to deliver them more efficiently by putting bundles in a streetcar, hopping on another streetcar and continuing that process. In the end she succeeded and told her brother about it and then they were both laughing on the floor.

If you and another person meet in war you have no choice but to shoot them but if it were under different circumstances you might be friends. But since you’re in war you need to fight them, they probably joined because they were either forced or needed money. You’re both just people who are doing their jobs.

For situation one, it’s connection to the story is that the Germans / Nazi’s are bullies and the Danes are the people being bullied and the Danes stand up to them by blowing up factories and making a resistance and just in general messing with them. The second situation is like when the people in the hospital were shot, I do think that the Nazi’s who shot the patients and doctors were just doing their job, though their job was only to kill the patients the doctors probably fought back or they thought they would fight back so they killed them before it could happen. For the third situation it’s like how Lisa’s father just watched the patients and doctors get killed, he couldn’t have done anything or he’d be shot too so he’s nowhere near as guilty as the Nazi’s since he had no choice, plus the patients husband ran in and tried to stop them and it only got him killed.

It's the middle of the night and it's August so it has started getting cold so Lisa goes after her. Shes following Stefan to figure out what he's doing and neither of them have ever followed him at night so they're both nervous, if they get caught, they'll be killed or worse. Lisa finally catches up to her and tells her that they should go home because her brother will be mad and she finally speaks and tells Lisa to go on, they're both biking as hard as they can after a van until it finally stops and Stefan and the men in the car step out and they're pointing their guns at them then Susanne says that she wants to help. Stefan realizes who it is and puts his gun down and goes over to talk to them and tells them to keep a lookout, after 15 minutes they return and start unloading things from the van and hands the two of them a bottle of kerosene. They go inside of the building and start making lines of kerosene and then soon after they light it up and the whole place blows up, Susanne says "That was for Mama and Papa." When they return home Stefan is angry with the two of them but understands why Susanne wanted to go so he sees if he can get permission for her to come along with them.

He's about this high" then shows that he didn't mean the salute, he was just trying to make them angry and then he gets smuggled offstage. She gets home and then Susanne runs into her room with her then pulls out a gun and tells her that they need to hide it and tells her the two men who were with Stefan were both killed because they were suspicious of him and they saw him meet with one of the Gestapo officers so Susanne shot them and now they're going to dump out his body in the ocean. The good news is that they didn't know about Stefan, Lisa or Susanne and they realized they had to do something about the gun so Lisa had a floorboard that was loose so they pulled it up to put the gun in but there were already guns in there so they wonder who put them there.
