If i were a hot air balloon owner I would use the wind pane VERY often because you need to go the right direction or else you wont end up in the spot you want. if you want to go to the park and its west and the winds blowing west, its the perfect day to go. Also i would use the anemometer so you can see if the wind pressure will be low or to high or just right. you don't want to not be able to move after everything you did to set up.
-Betsy

You would need to use two both the anemometer and the wind vane. The reason you would need a anemometer is to see how fast the wind is going. And you would need the wind vane to see what direction the wind is blowing in. So that way you go in the direction you want to.
