Also they had been getting help from anonymous workers of Speedwagon foundation and having a dog with stand Iggy. Next wading through isolated and barren deserts of Aravia. Eventually, they founded out that Abdul is alive and survived in the harsh conditions of Egypt, where even more dangerous minions of Dio were waiting for them. Having explored all the spots Darby understood that he couldn't refuse this bet and  he was scared to death. At last, addicted to finding Dio, as there was very little time left, they finally found his hideout and engaged in a battle in which Abdul and Iggy were killed at the hands of Vanilla Ice, Dio's servant, who was dealt with by Polnareff. Then Joseph and Kakein were killed by Dio himself, who was only able to stop the brave Jotaro, whose stand turned out to be of the same type. Happily, Joseph was saved, as was Jotaro's mother.
