1. Hitler signed the non-aggression pact with the Soviet Union on August 23rd of 1934 to ensure that the USSR would not aid Poland. Hitler and Stalin agreed to divide Poland between them once conquered. The Pact made possible the beginning of World War II with Hitler assured his troops would not have to fight a war on two fronts. The terms were: for the countries not to attack one another, not to support a third power that might attack the other party, to remain in consultation with each other in terms of questions regarding common interests, not to join any group of powers that posed as a threat to one of the parties, and to resolve all conflicts between the nations through negotiation or arbitration.

2. The countries involved were Germany, Russia, and Poland.

3. The pact caused tension in Britain and France after Germany and Russia's invasion of Poland in 1939.

4.

1. A coalition of France, Britain, and Italy formed in April to oppose Hitler's plan to rearm Germany, as it violated the Treaty of Versailles. The coalition was formed in response to Germany's attempt at creating an air force, to lay out economic sanctions against Germany for publicly ignoring the treaty of Versailles, to unite against Germany’s rearmament policies, and to reaffirm the Locarno Pact.

2. The countries involved were France, Britain, and Italy.

3. The Stresa Front failed, as Great Britain signed a naval treaty with Germany allowing for its navy's rearmament. No country in the front wanted to attack Germany and Italy was involved with Germany in terms of support and trading. Many of the claims were carried through and many plans served as empty threats.

4.

1. The Anglo-German Naval Agreement took place on the 18th of June. Germany and Britain "threw aside" all naval limitations placed by the Treaty of Versailles. Britain allowed Germany to build a naval force that was not to exceed 35% of its own, while agreeing to withdraw the British Royal Navy from the Baltic Sea, done without consulting France. The treaty was an attempt to improve the relationship between Germany and Great Britain and to begin arms restriction arrangements, designed to restrict Germany’s expansion.

2. The countries involved were Germany and Britain.

3. The agreement was registered in the League of Nations Treaty Series and continued until April 28th, 1939, when Adolf Hitler renounced it.

1. Because, in 1939, Hitler's next planned target was Poland, Chamberlain agreed to defend the latter through an alliance of Russia, France, and Britain against Germany. However, Chamberlain deemed communist Russia untrustworthy, Stalin was unconvinced of France and Britain's ability to combat German forces, and Poland was unwilling to allow Russian troops to enter. In August of 1939, the Nazi-Soviet pact was introduced by Hitler. The pact had two parts: an economic agreement and a nonaggression pact. The economic agreement ensured that Germany would exchange manufactured goods for Soviet raw materials. While this alliance was sudden, Stalin was in need of time to rearm as Russia was invaded by Hitler. Additionally, Nazi Germany held more power at the time and made it a simpler task for Stalin to invade Poland and appropriate half of the nation.

2. The countries involved were Germany, Britain, France, and Russia.

3. Hitler acted against the pact and invaded Russia in 1940.

4.

1. The British parliament voted the Chamberlain government nearly dictatorial powers to handle the Danzig-Polish crisis. While this happened, British and Polish representatives signed a treaty. The British government's plan was to demonstrate its support of Poland to deter a German invasion and the Polish government began to call up reserves. The United Kingdom’s pledge was to support itself and France in order to guarantee Polish independence, while Poland’s pledge coincided with Germany’s: they both agreed to mutual military assistance in the event that either were attacked. Both nations pledged to not enter agreements with other countries that posed as a threat to the other’s.

2. The countries involved were Britain, Poland, and Germany.
3. The Anglo-Polish alliance was solidified through this treaty. The pact caused Hitler to postpone his invasion of Poland from August 26th to September 1st.

4.
