         <description><![CDATA[<div>Student collaboration requires a small shift of thinking in how we view teaching and learning. Traditionally, the teacher was viewed as the source of all knowledge, but with the rise of the internet and the growing availability of information, the role of the teacher is slowly being redefined. Creating opportunities for collaboration builds a culture where students are seen as integral to the construction of knowledge which is the act of putting together, or making connections between, artefacts of information. Collaboration puts students in the driver's seat, prompting them to consider how they will use their 'knowledge' to develop 'understanding.</div>]]></description>
