Personal Target: Use a range of voices to create character ideas

Whiplash activity

This scene shows the tenacity and determination of the character to prove a point to the teacher. When the student takes control, we see the gradual build up of instruments which gets stronger and stronger. We can really feel a sense of tension and struggle through the staccato notes that are played in the scene from the other instruments. The music is in a major key and it feels happy and powerful which is what the student is trying to bring through. We also hear periods of almost silence where the music stops or has very few instruments playing which is effective as it increases the tension in the atmosphere and makes us listen harder.

Today i was able to create 2 backgrounds for my e-book. Although i didn't finish all of them, I feel that they were completed to a high standard and I aim to complete more tomorrow. AUDIO DIARY TO FOLLOW

Continue with Production schedule and ensure that we don't get behind...complete a scene fully with animations.

We have now completed all characters and backgrounds. We now need to focus on sound and narration to add to our audio book. Also consider making different music which matches each individual scene.

To help us test for our audio we did some audio experiments using current scripts. We used Titanic as this had a lot of emotion and power which we could bring through. After the first attempt we realised that the background noise was an issue. We realised, that for our e-book audio we should use a Tascam and boom mic which would help block out this noise and also produce better sound quality. we also experimented with different voices and how these worked when the audio was recorded
