The queen was the wife of Louis XVI of France and the last queen of Rococo, the last queen of Rococo style and period. She and the king spent extravagantly, and the people were in dire straits. In the end, the queen was sent to the guillotine prepared by the people because of a necklace given by Louis XV to his mistress Madame Du Barry. On January 21 and October 16, 1793, in the Place de la Concorde in Paris, Louis XVI and Queen Marie were executed on the guillotine designed by themselves. This also represented the end of the Rococo that had been glorious for nearly a hundred years, and the French Revolution. As they began, monarchy and feudalism slowly came to an end.

Significance

Through illustrations, it shows how Rococo entered into decline, how big the gap was between the life of the queen and the life of the common people, the impact and shock brought to people by the luxury of the nobles, the gorgeous things, and the squandering of money.

I felt like this image brought together all the elements I needed to represent that period while also capturing a sense of opulence and luxury.

After I decided on the topic I did a lot of research in the interior environment and also searched for some architectural interior styles. I mainly searched for Bauhaus and Rococo styles. Rococo style interior design has a lot of light colors, which fill the entire space. It also contains a lot of patterns and decorations, which is very similar to maximalism. , fill all the blank spaces with gorgeous content, and then use soft colors to weaken and combine them.
