This is specifically a good practice so both students and teacher are on the same page with expectations. This also allows students a chance to self-assess while working on the assignment/project in case they need to make revisions or get extra help. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In the creation of a rubric, give students examples to read/see so they understand what a passing example looks like vs non-passing example.Have them point out where the examples are strong, weak, and what they would do to make improvements so that they have these ideas on what to do or not do.&nbsp;This time can also be used to help students see that respectfully critiquing/correcting an example is meant to help improve rather than assume or imply that the person who did the example is "dumb."</div>]]></description>
