Explain your thoughts and feelings about each:

About happiness:
For me, we can choose to be happy or not. Happiness varies from person to person. I personally tried looking for the things that would make me happy and so far none of them lasted long. That made me feel helpless, like I wasn't meant to be given nor receive happiness, but then I thought why not try to stop looking when I should focus on myself. If I learn how to be happy with myself then maybe I might just be content and find happiness within me. I know it's a long road ahead and that the present me can't make myself happy, but every opportunity that I can get just to be happy I won't hesitate to take that chance.

About self-development:
Someone told me back then on their thoughts about self-development, and that they said that self-development shouldn't be forced on people, because people develop differently especially on how and when. They're not wrong and I believe we could never really push a person to develop, but it's different if their stubbornness is hindering them to. Sooner or later we need to move forward and improve ourselves, it may be greedy to never be content with ourselves, but if we're aiming for making ourselves better than our past selves then why not? If it makes us more confident and happy with ourselves then constantly developing is the right thing to do.
