What Would Schwartz think?

1. Schwartz talks about how the problems that go on in the "real world" or outside the classroom became a problem in the classroom and therefore becomes a teachers so that fact that DeVos is trying to make the educators role more prevalent in Title IX would be looked highly upon
2. Schools need funding and Schwartz talks about how the wage issue is a teaching issue. It is critical that we have the proper funding in schools so that we can raise kids to have a fair shot at changing their lives if they are born into a family below the poverty line and struggling. Schwartz would dislike this line of action.

Berliner and Glass debunk the myth that a teacher is the most important part of the students education. They believe that there are more important outside factors that influence a student and that is outside of the teachers control. With their ideology they might appreciate Devos pushing for school choice and vouchers. If outside issues are outside of the teachers control, maybe it could be in government control. The power of choice helps parents provide their kids with he education they may not have been privileged to and the gift of vouchers helps social-economical issues that kids are born into.
