Setting and Background</strong></p><ul><li><p>The story happens in a <strong>town</strong> where a rich lady, <strong>Mrs. Pumphrey</strong>, lives with her <strong>pet dog, Tricki</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Tricki is very <strong>fat</strong> and <strong>lazy</strong> because Mrs. Pumphrey gives him too much food and treats.</p></li><li><p>She treats Tricki like a <strong>child</strong> and does not listen when people tell her to feed him less.</p></li><li><p>One day, Tricki becomes very <strong>sick</strong> and <strong>weak</strong>, so she takes him to the <strong>vet</strong>, Mr. Herriot.</p></li></ul><p><strong>2. Main Characters</strong></p><ul><li><p><strong>Tricki</strong>: A small dog who is overfed and becomes sick. He loves food but becomes weak and lazy.</p></li><li><p><strong>Mrs. Pumphrey</strong>: A rich, kind lady who loves Tricki too much.
