An expository teaching style is a very structured and straight forward approach where the instructor simply stands in front of the classroom and presents the information while the students take notes. There is no further interaction between them.

On the other hand, contextualized learning encourages the students to be engaged in activities that aid in the understanding of the presented material.

It is easy too see that contextualized learning enables students to better grasp the concepts in daily lessons. When there is a relatable experience for the student to refer back to, they are more likely to recall the information they learned.

For more information about using contextualized learning in your classroom, visit facdev.niu.edu
