Peace is most evident in the midst of chaos (like the contrast of black on white). God doesn’t want us to be comfortable and He doesn’t want us to get settled. it’s in the most uncomfortable seasons of our life when we feel God because that is where He wants us. when we experience pain we come to a realization that we need God. He can speak to us through the pain. C.S. Lewis says “Pain insists upon being attended to. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks in our consciences, but shouts in our pains. It is his megaphone to rouse a deaf world.” God doesn’t take pleasure in our pain either.
