He was ambitious and would not waste time making up his mind. He was rejected by New Jersey because he wanted to work at his own place. He attended Kings College. And dominated. He defended the Boston Tea Party and defend and was a big supported of the Revolution. He wanted action and he joined the part time militia and became captain. He earned respect from his professors in language arts including Greek and Latin.  In college he was a selfish hypocrite.  After college he mastered the art of flirting and did not commit himself to anything.  He studied ministry but ultimately did not like because he missed his social life.  He moved and became a ladies man but then he enlisted as a full time soldier. He was under George Washington for a while and he got bored so he moved.  He did a lot of war hero stuff and then he retired because he had health problems.  He eventually married Theodosia  Prevost when her husband dies.
