Then when we use slicing programs and generate the GCODE file (recognised by the printer).
In orther to print a design with a 3D printer you have to pass your design to special files in other for the printer to regognise it.
These files slice the design in different layers so that, the printer interprets it well.
Programs used to slice a 3D design:
Slic3r is a tool which translates digital 3D designs into instructions that are understood by a 3D printer.
