Divergent boundaries are found at places where two tectonic plates are moving away from each other. This is caused by the convection currents in the upper mantle. Mid-ocean ridges and rift valleys are formed at these boundaries.

Transform boundaries are found at places where two tectonic plates are neither moving and from each other nor colliding but rather where they are sliding against each other. The convection currents that cause transform boundaries are basically next to each other and they are rotating in opposite directions. Faults are very common at transform boundaries and they often cause earthquakes too.

Convergent boundaries are found at places where two tectonic plates are moving toward each other. When this happens the less dense plate always dives under the less dense plate. but when they are both the same density they just slam into each other. When they slam into each other mountain ranges form. When one plate dives under the other trenches form and volcanoes can form on the other plate.
