Year 3 & 4

This week, there has been lots of activity in our English lessons.

Year 4 became technical vocabulary archaeologists and were 'digging' carefully with brushes to uncover the definitions to match key words for their report. They then had to use each word in a sentence about Howard Carter's discovery of Tutankhamun and draw a picture to show their understanding of each word's meaning.

Year 3 have also been hard at work writing their non-chronological report using their technical vocabulary and knowledge gained about the exciting excavation. Some excellent engagement and writing on display. Well done everyone!

PE days for Year 3 & Year 4 are Tuesdays & Thursdays

Year 5 & 6

Year 6 had an amazing time on their residential trip!

On Wednesday, we completed a scavenger hunt, laid trails for one another, and then tried our hand at archery. After a delicious and enormous dinner, we worked together in teams to tackle the challenge course. There was also great excitement as England secured a win, which we were able to watch during dinner. All was well! 😊☀️🏴

The evening ended with hot chocolate, a biscuit, and a bedtime story. The children were brilliant at bedtime, with everyone settled and asleep by 9:30pm.

On Thursday morning, we took on the high ropes challenge, showing plenty of courage and determination. In the afternoon, we enjoyed orienteering and code-breaking activities before gathering around a roaring campfire in the evening.

Our final activity this morning was shelter building and fire lighting. Throughout the trip, we challenged ourselves, worked as a team, developed our independence, and enjoyed spending time together.

We have had a fantastic experience and made many wonderful memories!

This week, Year 5 have been working really hard on their sewing skills and busy publishing their work on their iPads. We are very proud of how hard they have all worked this week.

Swimming Lessons for Year 5 & 6

Payment information is now available on your MCAS app. Please make a note of the deadline of Friday 22nd May 2026.

PE days for Year 5 & Year 6 are Thursdays and Fridays.
