Answer by parents : Life was tough during our time because :
-There was very little food to eat.
-There was very little technology at the time. 
-It was easy to fall sick because of the Poor Environment.
-The Economy Was Bad.
-Transport was mainly by riding a bicycle or walking. 


In the 1970s to 1980s,
-Singapore's Economy wasn't good. 
-Environment Was Poor.  
-Technology was not advanced.
-Singapore was not very developed

Questions :
-Why was Singapore's Economy bad at that time?
Answer to HI question : Life in Singapore during 1970s to 1980s was tiring and the economy was terrible.The Environment wasn't good either. 

I : I can infer that life in the past was tiring and bad. 

C : This is evident in 'Singapore's Economy wasn't good. ' and 'Singapore was not very developed'.

Why was Scrabble so famous at that time?

Question: How do you travel in the past?

Answer: As out family were poor in the past, we usually had to walk, but if we took the bus, bus fares without air-condition was $0.25. But after some time, bus had air-condition so it became to $0.35. There is also no Mass-Rapid-Transport in the pass.

This shows that Singapore's past do not have many transportation to travel with.
