I learned how my students probably often feel when given a difficult task. It could be very frustrating but with a support and great deal of help it becomes manageable.

And I am trying to pick up some basic French...little by little :)

Patience was my friend in the hopeless and frustration on my own despair.

I've solved the question of the sounds of frogs and cicadas.

Water is a wonderful relaxing element.

That makes me think about learners at school. It happens propably way too often that students are left with that bad feeling on them selves if we rush ahead in our classes and do not give the support and time for each invidual to get that "powerty" feeling. They might see that many others figured out things faster, teacher might move on to next subject/thing when she/he sees that most got this thing dialed. I think many who didn't figured out ontime learn how to give up easily next time too and they start hating school and get thenselves this identity in wich they get themselves protected inside - school sucks and I do not have to learn those stupid things they try to teach me . Inside they might be insecure and live life without confidence in their learning skills and thinking that they are stupid.

Long writing, but I think I learned something.

I enjoyed meeting the person who taught us how to make the hat, he helped me a lot to overcome the difficulties I felt.

Every moment of my lunch, the walk up the hill, the views, the ocean were like a mental hug, even the seaweed was beautiful 🙂 So grateful! Thank you!

It was gratifying to realize that all adversities or challenges make us stronger and more confident, empower us with new skills, and make us better prepared for our future life. In fact, the entire teaching/learning process, all our work with students in the classroom can be seen as a way to make our students more resilient and capable of overcoming the challenges of their future lives.

And it was necessary to go to the “end of the world” (Pointe des Châteaux) to better understand that we, as teachers, have to be able to create an environment conducive to learning, a safe environment, one that connects with our students and satisfies their personal development needs.
