After WWI, Britain's politics began to change. Prior to WWI, Great Britain ran a Constitutional Government as their political system. This means that everyone had to obey the law, but people were not allowed to vote for their leaders. Once WWI had concluded, Britain decided to give their citizens the ability to vote, creating a democracy.

Relations With Other Countries:
Before WWI began, Great Britain realized that they needed the support of other countries to remain powerful. They began to create alliances with France, Russia, and even Japan to prepare for future conflicts. Britain was burdened with huge external debts.  The war had led to an economic boom,  to a large increase in demand, production, prices and employment. When the war boom ended production contracted, employment and unemployment increased.
