Although the teams are allowed to hold fundraisers and auctions to help raise money, families still have to bend their backs to try and come up with the money. When I played golf everything was payed for, but when I did cheer I had to spend $2,000 to pay for everything to participate for one year. This year was the first year that the school helped pay for the uniforms. Some people can not come up with that money, especially if there is a deadline.
