         <description><![CDATA[<p>Paleolithic as a whole is so interesting to me, but the bear cave painting had to be my favorite. It is amazing to me how accurate the bear looks, when the artist had no reference in the moment to paint it. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Lapis Lazuli of the Bull's beard really pulls the piece together, and is just so beautiful. There is so many gorgeous details on the lyre, like all the interesting images shown below the Bull on the front of the lyre.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I loved learning more about this Babylonian version of a dragon, and seeing it on the brick wall is very cool. The Lapis Lazuli in the background really brings it all together. I especially love the talons of the back legs. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>The Lamassu statues were definitely my favorite part of the Assyrian period. I love that you can admire the statues from the frontal and side view with the fifth leg being included. The symbolism of the guardians is also very interesting to me. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>It was very interesting to me how simple all the sculptures from the Cycladic period are, but they also portray a fair amount of emotion. You can clearly tell the figure is sitting in a chair, playing an instrument of some kind. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I love how the octopus looks very cartoony due to the eyes, but the tentacles are painted so beautifully and the movement looks as if the octopus is swimming. I love the all the little details around the octopus on the vase too. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This piece is very beautiful, yet haunting at the same time. The gold and the shape make it seem like a representation of the sun. One of my favorite things about the mask is the way the shape of the ears are so stylized. </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I really love this piece with the Savior and a horse. I love how majestic the Christ looks, and the horse looks quite cartoony and slightly out of place. I made a mosaic once and I know how time consuming it is, so I have a deep respect for such detailed mosaics. </p>]]></description>
