That was all before we started to develop the things that would later divide people entirely. parents don't think about what they are saying in front of their children because it's their own right to. Later in life, the child will have their own decision, which was most likely brought up by the parent point of view. Then, when we get exposed to social media and other things, we can express they way that we feel freely. We expose ourselves to the information we want to see and the kind of things that we want to share. SOmetimes because of the exposure, we become comfortable in the way that we feel. WE feel more comfortable to joke around about the things that we believe and make jokes about the things that we don't.

It can shape our views because if we like something a lot more than another thing, then we will choose the things we like. That might not end up being what was true, but our brains wanted it to be that way. Confirmation bias is now affecting our society in many ways on how people present information and also how they want certain things to be. What you can do is always make sure the information is true and not assume it's true just because someone is saying it with confidence, as they can have confirmation bias.

If you hear something on a news channel that you don't agree with, you might just switch to a news channel that agrees with your ideas instead of watching the old one. It suggest opening up to the other side of the argument.

The thing that resonated with me the most was sublimation. This is because when you don't agree with something, you can look at the positives of it. Allow yourself to change your opinion, and although you might not agree at first, you'll get used to it. You won't be set in stone with your new opinion, as you will have a wide variety of views. Your point of view should always be constructive, or trying to build towards something. If we are all willing to not have a single opinion, not only will we all have less confirmation bias, but there might be less fake articles out there. Sublimation is definitely really important when trying to deal with confirmation bias.

Exposure stuck out to me more then the others. I know some people who are highly biased and I find them only looking at news and resources that they want. Sometimes it can be frustrating, especially when their resources are obviously fake. Though I don't try to change their views, it's hard to debate with someone who's only back bone is bias.
