I am a cinephile of note, always watching series or films, or listening to podcasts, or watching videos and reading books about the arts and the people that saw the dire need for them in our world.

I love the arts, specifically film and theatre because it's so unassuming. It's one of the major influencers in how people can understand and communicate and carry out visions and emotions yet you don't have to be someone with 10 PHDs to understand it or use it in a great impactful way. It accepts you for who you are and touches your life whether you want it to or not.

Heyyy there everyone!! My name is Nsuku Babane and I will be doing a BA in Film and Media! I am incredibly excited to be doing this course because performing is something I’m very passionate about. I would’ve loved to major in this but Film and TV just fuels my fire and passion slightly more, however I’m still super excited I get to do this as an elective :)

In my free time I tend to be all over the place. I have been playing water polo forever and am now looking to make the switch from mens league polo, as well as high school waterpolo to playing for UCT. I love cooking because I love food so that goes pretty much much hand in hand. I also watch A LOT of movies and series and enjoy anything under the sun. I take a lot of inspiration from binging and it does not help when I create fake scenarios in my head- Another guilty pleasure/obsession of mine is uhhh… chess but that’s a story for another day.😅
