Have you ever been taught by someone without it? &nbsp;</em></div><div>Pedagogy is the theory and practice of education. I however, have never been taught by someone without it. Even the not so good teachers in high school had a slight aspect of pedagogy in their teaching.<br><br><em>What technical knowledge do you have? </em><br>After taking E-Learning in 2015, I have a more extensive technological knowledge than I originally did. I became aware of different educational technologies that I could utilise in a classroom. <br><br><em>What technical knowledge do your students need to have?</em><br>Students who undertake any form of technological learning will need to have basic ICT skills, but explanation for students who only have the basics would be necessary. &nbsp;<br><br><strong>SAMR&nbsp;</strong></div><ul><li>Blooms taxonomy for educators</li><li>Framework provides reflective teaching</li><li>It's not about the technology but how a teacher uses it</li></ul><div>4 different levels/2 different sections:<br>1st level - substitution<br>2nd - augmentation <br>3rd - modification (significant task re-design)<br>4th - redefinition (creation of new tasks)<br><br><em>What activities could you think of that you could get students to do in your subject area that would fit into each level of SAMR?<br></em>Substitution - writing an essay on Nazi Germany on Microsoft word, rather than hand writing<br>Augmentation - Write an essay on Google Docs, rather than by hand, so that comments and editing can be added<br>Modification - Instead of writing an essay, create an edublog dedicated to the same topic<br>Redefinition - Instead of writing an essay, create a digital story</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Teachers who employ the use of technology in the classroom need to ensure that:</div><ul><li>They consider new ways to supervise students</li><li>Ensure there is safety when using online technologies</li><li>Have online-bullying strategies in place </li></ul><div>Most schools however have supportive systems in place for students, which focus on not only physical injury but emotional distress. <br><br><em>What is a duty of care?<br></em>A duty of care is a legal obligation to provide care. This includes:</div><ul><li>Adequate supervision</li><li>Ensuring location, premises and equipment are safe </li><li>Providing medical assistance if necessary</li><li>Implementing anti-bullying strategies </li></ul><div>As a teacher, I have the duty to take reasonable care for the safety and welfare of my students.          <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Voice Thread Video:</strong><br><br><em>What is the teacher asking the students?<br></em>The teacher is asking the students a basic math question, but asking them to show their working out.&nbsp;</div><div><br><em>What is the teacher getting from this assessment that you wouldn't get from a written assessment of 20 sums? <br></em>This form of assessment allows for a technological aspect and shows student differentiation of how they got their answers, which is less stressful than a 20 sum written assessment task for both student and teacher. It also is less time consuming marking wise. &nbsp;</div><div><br><em>How does this assessment help you understand what a student knows?<br></em>It helps us understand how each student had a differentiating approach to answering the question. It helps a teacher to understand how student brains works and what they know in terms of mathematics technologically. <em><br><br>Is it more or less valuable than a written test of 20 addition questions? <br></em>This form of testing is definitely more valuable. <br><br>Using tools like Explain Everything, Screen-o-cast or even simply recording with a video what could you assess in your method?<br>I could assess the students memory of dates, their memory of course concepts or their ability to differentiate information. <br><br><strong>Assessment Strategies:</strong><br>Blended and online assessment:</div><ul><li>Remember&nbsp; - memorisation and recall</li><li>Understand - conceptual understanding&nbsp;</li><li>Apply - process of application&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br>Possible assessment activities:</div><ul><li>Remember - multiple choice, time recall, recitation</li><li>Understand&nbsp; - open ended questions, discussions</li><li>Apply - Discussions, create work</li></ul><div><br><strong>Rubrics:<br></strong>Useful when assessing any subject area. <br><br></div>]]></description>
