Students became real world problem solvers as they designed a solar cooker that Nadine's family could use for cooking instead of cooking over a fire. Students designed and tested prototypes to build the most efficient solar cooker. Students needed to apply their knowledge of heat energy as well as their knowledge of conductors and insulators while building their cookers.
