         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dependent on agriculture and conquering other <span style="font-size: 13px;">people. Their land was not able to feed everyone so </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">most of the men spent their life as warriors. They also used </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">slaves, also known as helots. These poeple were surrounded and captured by the spartans during war and they let them live where they did but they had to give the majority of the food they made to the spartans. Spartans used heavy iron bars for a currency. </span></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Dependent on agriculture and trade because they were right by the sea, this made it easy to trade. </p><p>They traded honey, olive oil and silver. They would get in return grain and wood. Athens had a huge </p><p>market called agora. Had a system of currency of coins of gold, silver, and bronze. One side of the</p><p>coin had athena on it and the other an owl. </p>]]></description>
