Many students and unfortunately, some teachers have the attitude that anything on the Internet is fair game for anything I want to use it for. Often with a belief that nobody knows I used it, so why not?
Often, busy teachers do not take the time to check instances of suspected plagiarism so students continue to get away with it.
(Peter Wallace)

If I can get it on the internet for free then it's okay.

I agree with the above statement. Movies, the latest episode of their favourite TV show from the USA, music, games, if they can get them for free then that is fine. Many have little concern for intellectual property or the ramifications of not paying for things on the industry. However, students are becoming more aware of the need to acknowledge sources in assignments and to avoid cut and paste. It is not often now that we find students plagiarising in assignments. They are aware how easy it is for teachers to copy and paste sections of assignments into Google to check. Also, using sites like Turnitin helps. Brett Gore

Many schools will not have access to the syllabus and its content due to networking problems within their vicinity.
This then causes drawbacks on students having difficulties with accessing ideas and work related activities from the websites relating to their topics

Students and staff should be educated more on plagiarising. This will help reduce the amount of plagiarising concurring at the moment.

I think the area of plagiarism for students and staff requires more education. It is problematic and is evident across many areas.
