Family Voices provides families with the "tools to make informed decisions" about healthcare and education, build partnerships between families and their service providers and serve as a trusted resource on healthcare. They also help families learn to advocate for improved policies to best serve children with special needs. Their goal is to help the millions of parents whose children, ages 3–20, are struggling with learning and attention issues. They want to empower them to understand their children’s issues and relate to their experiences. With this knowledge, parents can make effective choices that propel their children from simply coping to truly thriving. This particular resource is their "For Families" section on their website. There are 4 different topics that are each filled with several articles that parents can sift through.          <description><![CDATA[<div>This resource is a very simplistic broken down list of the rights a parent has in the IEP process. This is a quick read that is presented in an easily digestible format.<br>It starts by explaining that parents whose children are aged 3 to 21 years and have a disability are entitled to different rights when it comes to IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act). These rights are typically referred to as procedural safeguards and are extended to a child’s guardians along with the student themselves as long as they’re at least 18 years of age.
