In this piece of work l have handmade bag, theme Japan - Tokyo. Items on the bag are shown: Sakura / Tokyo Tower / Japanese-style clouds. Colors: red / white / pink / black. 🔺
I created this piece by compasses, penknife, pencil, stencils, brushes, cardboard, paper, cocktail sticks, scissors, colors of colors — red, black, white, pink (a mixture of white and red).
SIDE 1🔺
Techniques that I used.
On the bag drawing with the image of Sakura (cherry tree), Tokyo Tower, the clouds in the Japanese style.
1. Sakura, Tower, mountain — collagraph. Make a stencil. I used cardboard, cocktail sticks and cord.
2. a red circle —
Handwork used brushes / compasses
Japanese style clouds - handmade - brushes / black acrylic paint. Sakura petals - handmade, acrylic paint red / white / pink colors.
SIDE 2🔺
Geisha Oni ( demon ) is depicted on the back of the handmade bag. Style: stencil. Materials: cardboard, penknife, paper, Tracy paper
pencil and sponge.
Also used elements of the patterns of the upper corners. Technica - block repeat pattern ( subtractive)
🔺
Why is it successful? This is successful because it was interesting. It caused a lot of positive emotions and a lot of interesting ideas. When choosing a team topic / city / country and their interest, we collected all sorts of options ranging from France to America. It was a very good experience that will definitely come for the future.
I chose Japan - Tokyo. I am attracted to Japanese food, culture, mythology, Japanese animation, music, style clothes. For finding a style for the bag, I thought, that I had to look for a creative way. First, I wanted to search for images on the Internet of various demons (Oni) of Japanese mythology, I wanted to invent a romance and tragic love story in TOKIO city - depicting it on a bag. Mysterious Geisha, who is waiting for spring and Sakura to blossom under the rising sun. Japanese culture is interesting and if you watch the legends, they convey the meaning, the sadness and the essence of rebirth. In her eyes, I wanted to convey the confidence of these words “I know more than you know.” Of course, I had to use the elements of the city - Tokyo Tower.
Inspiration.
This is my success.
🔺What could I improve? In the process of work, I had a plan, but still came to improvisation. This is a challenge. Before, I already knew with prints on clothes (shirts / jewelry / hoodies / t-shirts ...) I would like to gain more experience in this matter. I really find it interesting for me. Learn and learn new things.
🔺I like my result, which I received at the end. I really appreciate the experience that I received. Sketches, stencils, the use of different styles, learn the features of the country you chose. This project definitely brought me pleasure and joy. I will definitely develop in this direction.
Finish.
