Mature trees are an asset to home owners because they provide shade, in turn can decrease ones electric bill. When I go to a park or out to a festival I search for a big shade tree to park my car under that way it will be cooler when I get back in it later.

I picked this picture to show the role plants have on the environment. This shows the cycle that plants go through to either maintain life or not. On one side it shows the positive aspect for plants who get plenty of water to grown and wind to help germinate. On the other side it shows what happens when the temperature is too high and there is not enough water to quench the plants thirst.

This clip keeps the facts very short and simple. By relating the basics of photosynthesis to how human take food and make it into energy is a helpful fact in how photosynthesis can relate to everyday life in a way.

Bryan caespiticium is the taxonomic name for the more common term moss. In Georgia, the green, lush moss that comes to mind is usually seen in the warmer months of the year. Moss is a non-vascular land plant. This means that there are not any roots to help nutrients travel through the plant nor is it able to grow very big or far off of the ground.

Now days very few people want to save the enviornment or the beautiful landscape around them. The most common form of deforestation that is seen today is tearing down trees to build a new strip mall or subdivision. The increase in population probably has some correlation in the need for more leaving places or competition for retail stores.

The convenience that this provided allowed an increase in population because there was less migration, so men and women were around each other more often. For the people of the tribe that did not do farming they had more time to devote to inventing new technologies like tools, methods of communication, etc. There was more trading between tribes during this time because there were more crops and new technologies that could be exchanged for different things.

It occurred during the mid 1900's. During this time there were many new inventions in farm equipment and machinery. They also developed new seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc. to help the production of their crops. I chose a picture of a tractor spraying fertilizer on a field of crops because this became a new way feeding your crops and it allowed farmers to plant more because they could get the fertilizer out faster. A lot of human labor was lost as these machines became more popular, but these machine helped to make farmers more money from their crops.

Plants and crops being grown in a lab where people can monitor and infuse them with chemicals to ensure they get the desired outcome. Something like this could be very harmful to the population. This method of growing food is not natural. I think we would see an increase in disease and death rates if we, as a society, allowed our plants and foods to be grown this way.
