By Debashis Basu and Sucheta Dalal

Short Summary-

This book is about the big stock market scam done by Harshad Mehta in India during the 1990s, called the 1992 Indian stock market scam or the bank funds scam. It explains how he used the banking system and stock market to earn a lot of money illegally. The book also shows how the scam affected many people and how journalists, mainly Sucheta Dalal, found out the truth. It gives information about greed, corruption, and mistakes in the financial system.

Though Harshad Mehta was very clever and had a deep understanding of how the market worked, the ways he earned money and helped the clients of his company, Growmore, make profit were illegal. It was basically a way of looting government money. His scam was worth around ₹4,000 crores in 1992, which would be around ₹24,000 crores in 2026 with inflation. His story became so famous that there is even a 10-episode series based on the book called "Scam 1992".

My Reading Experience-

I liked this book because it is based on a real incident and was interesting to read. Some parts were a little hard to understand because of the financial terms, but overall it was good. I learned how scams can affect normal people and the economy. The book also showed the importance of honesty and being careful with money. It was an informative and different type of book compared to the books I usually read.

Name: Ashmika Nehal

Class & Section: 9A

by:- MALALA YOUSAFZAI

with Christina Lamb

On 12-July-1997 in swat valley one of the beautiful place in Mingora, a girl was born .In the era of founding joy for a boys birth Ziauddin and his wife Toor overenjoyed in the birth of their daughter ,from this situation we can understand how supportive is her parents was when the society is believing girls were only expected for cooking and for gave birth .Ziauddin was a great man even he was not much rich he managed to start a school with his friends with a small fund mostly aiming gender equality for all , and heavily wishing to give proper education to girls . Malala grew up and studied in her fathers school ,at her very young age she was interested in reading and highly confident in speaking .One day when Malala visited her ancestral village she realize that many of girls in her country didn't get education ,and also she noticed that children are picking up the garbage and doing the work instead of going school and she realize in inequality happening in her society ,then she aware about her society and about some religious leaders like muftis who trying to close her fathers school then opposing the idea of girls getting educated , but they didn't gave up . But unfortunately an earthquake happen in autumn and everyone made to believe like the punishment from the god for breaking laws, from this situation Taliban group became powerful . Then the Taliban leader Fazlullah gave a radio message illegally by saying girls can't go to school ca ,and slowly destroy other religion rituals . Then violence spread everywhere ,those who broke the law where killed and dead body placed publicly to increase fear .But from this Malala didn't gave she moved her every single step against Taliban bravely and brilliantly [ I don't wish to say her moves because it reduce readers interest ] this help the whole world to realize what was happen in swat valley then Malala continued her legacy through public speeches and through interview by supporting girls education and became the fear of Taliban . One day when she was returning to home after the school one gunman from Taliban group stop the school bus in where Malala travelled and shot her inside the bus .

And severely injured, immediately people near the incident brings her into the hospital and for better treatment shifted to England and saved her life . All the people in the world admired her courage and Malala become even more stronger after the attack and she go to USA and speak about problem and promote girls education and started more organizations and work for the educational rights . And by this incident Taliban group became weak because of the force given by Pakistan army [ further can read from book ]. And many interesting parts also contained in this book which make the readers to think deeply.

I liked this book very much this shows that education is equally important in both girls and boys . And we want to follow our belief in one deity in a way and in other way we want to pursue the knowledge and be update in technology and current affairs .And we should be bold enough like Malala to speak openly , if she didn't speak or stand boldly like this ,swat village might face that sever pressure of Taliban even now .

by :- Ameyasree M S

9C

Jeff Kinney

This is an amazing story by the author Jeff Kinney. The story begins with the main character Greg Heffley whose family planned a vacation to an island during the Christmas time. They wanted to spend time together. So they spent a huge money and went on a vacation. But things got upside down. During their vacation they met with many troubles, they found out that the island is not a Paradise but a nightmare and at the end they got kicked out of the island because their bags were swapped with another family who saw Greg's family wearing their clothes. But Greg's family was adamant. They did not have any enjoyment in the island. Also they didn't have a chance to take a family photo for the Christmas card. So they sneaked back into the resort to take a family photo. There the security found them and tried to catch them. In the end they somehow escaped. I enjoyed reading the story. It was very funny and humorous. I would personally recommend this story. Thank you.

Vaishnav R J Thampy

Class:- 9A

Jeff Kinney

This is one of my personally favourite story. The story begins with Greg Heffley's grandmother who was the head of the family asking a wish. As her 75th birthday is approaching, she wanted all her children to visit an island called Ruttyneck where she went with her children when they were small kids. But there was a problem. One of her children who was Greg's mother and her sisters always kept fighting. So they had a doubt about this trip, but as it was their mother's wish, they all agreed to it. They all went to the Ruttyneck island. But things started falling apart, they keep fighting for unnecessary reasons, and the story changes plot when Greg Heffley start's a social media account and puts a profile picture of him standing near his aunt and her dog who were famous. But avoid people she did not tell about the trip to her fans. Because of the picture, many people showed up to their staying place in the island, which caused his family to secretly escape the island. I loved the story very much. It was very awesome and funny. I found the story interesting and amazing. Thank you.

Vaishnav R J Thampy

Class :-9A

Chris Colfer

The sequel to The Land of Stories: The Wishing Spell, The Enchantress Returns continues the story of twins Conner and Alex, who in the first novel fell through a book in to the fairytale kingdom, had some adventures, battled some villains, rescued some people and came back into the real world.

A little older now, the twins find themselves falling back into the book, this time to help battle the evil Enchantress, the stuff of Sleeping Beauty's nightmares.

Unlike in the first book, there's a lot more 'real life' stuff in The Enchantress Returns, and it generally works well. Alex and Conner, while dealing with the aftermath of their adventures in the Land of Stories, also have to deal with feelings of abandonment because their grandmother (the Fairy Godmother) has not contacted them in an age. I thought this stuff helped balance out the fairytale elements, although perhaps the real world was explored a little too much (more on that in a bit).

By: Meenakshi S

Class: 9D

Holly Jackson

I just finished Good Girl, Bad Blood and honestly, I think it’s even more intense than the first book. Since Pip started a podcast about her last case, the whole story feels like a real true-crime investigation, which kept me hooked the entire time. This time, the mystery is super personal because one of Pip’s friends has a brother who goes missing, and it’s frustrating to see the police not taking it seriously just because he’s an adult. I really liked how the book includes pictures, maps, and podcast transcripts because it makes you feel like you're solving the mystery right alongside Pip. The ending was a total shock and way darker than I expected, but it makes you realize how much these cases actually affect her. If you liked the first one, you definitely won't be able to put this down!

Meenakshi S

9D

Author: Jeff kinney

Review:

I've already gotten though a few series of this before, and this is the book 14 in the "diary of a wimpy kid" ,and this one was actually more surprisingly funnier than i expected, and with Greg's jokes and comments, made it even more fun.I always had a frequent habit of reading books before bed, and this one is perfectly what i needed to end the day with a laugh. The story is mainly about Greg heffley attempting sort of a "home renovation" which doesn't go well and ends with a lot of chaos and mess. When i was first reading this, over the few pages, it was all about Greg going through his closet, and finding random "nostalgic" items that he had forgotten a long time ago. The further I got into the book, the more hilarious it became. My favorite is when Greg admitted that he had a fear of "plumbing" since his old school days, because of the "Grout" was the "gritty "stuff between bathroom tiles, that he had always thought was a monster hidden in the pipes, and the jokes about it are really entertaining. I recommend this for children aged 10-12 years, who enjoy, enjoy humor, who doen't like reading too big books because the funny cartoons make it very fast and easy to read." There is not much to learn from this , because this book is pure chaos, except that-sometimes, "renovations" might get messy ,and maybe be unpredictable, but with a little support from family or maybe friends, things could get easy.......

New words:

Frequent: Continous

Attempting: Trying to do something

Renovations: Making improvements

Nostalgic:Missing the old days, when we were both happy and a little sad

By Mayukha.J.R

Class:9C

Enid Blyton

Five on a Hike Together is an exciting mystery that begins when Julian, Dick, Anne, George, and Timmy get lost during a stormy walking tour. The adventure kicks off when Dick is mistaken for a criminal and given a secret message: "Two Trees. Gloomy Water. Saucy Jane." I enjoyed how the children used these clues to navigate the foggy moors and stay ahead of escaped convicts. It is a very atmospheric book that shows how important teamwork is when things go wrong.

The story ends with the Five discovering that "Saucy Jane" is actually a sunken boat in a lake called Gloomy Water. They successfully dive down to recover a tin box filled with stolen jewelry just before the criminals can get to it. After handing the loot over to the police and seeing the villains caught, the exhausted group finishes their hike in triumph.

Meenakshi S

9D

by :- Sudha Murthy

It is an amazing book which contains 24 inspiring stories with valuable morals for the future generations. Especially the chapter 'How I taught my grandmother to read ' is a simple as well as heart - touching story, of an grandmother's request to her granddaughter for helping her to read independently without depending anyone to read her favourite novels. This situation showcases the lack of girls education in earlier times , which prevented the grandmother from attending the school during her childhood .This chapter also show the importance of education to becoming independent , and also show that we can learn or seek at education at any age .Age is not a barrier or we can respect our teacher if she or he is far younger than us . And a chapter named 'Salaam Abdul Kalam ' show how humble is DR APJ Abdul Kalam sir and how respectful man he is . And the chapter 'Books for at least one library ' shows me the importance of having books in all libraries which will help in enhance the vast knowledge in our society

Like those stories there are many such type of stories , which help us to develop as a good and responsible citizen

Ameyasree M S

9 C

Author: Tessa Roehl

Review:

These series explores the early childhood days of Disney princesses long before their "royal" days even started, with Ella(Cinderella)as the main character. This book has been with me, since i brought from the school book fair, 3 years ago ,and i absolutely loved it. In these early chapters, her parents were still alive, before both of them sadly passing away some years later(not included in the book). What i liked most about this book is how comforting and enjoyable the book was, plus with Ella's sweet and charming words, made it a lot better. I usually turned to this book in my leisure time, particularly when i bored. While i wouldn't say i was "obsessed " with this book, but i still found it heart- warming. This book focuses on the early golden days of Ella as a child, and her dream of winning the puppet contest at the midsummer festival, just to make her parents proud. As Ella encounters Val, things get interesting-Ella bonds with Val , and both became best friends creating puppets together. Although Ella was declared as the winner, the Rightful heir was actually Val .My favourite part was when , in the very end when both the girls had to say goodbye, Val pulled out a package, and handed it to Ella, when she tore open, She found a puppet rainbow, cobbled all together from all sorts colours of metal , beads, lace and wood, showing how valuable their friendship was even after separation .From this i learnt that, sometimes even small act like "making puppets" carry a deep meaning in friendship. I highly recommend this book for middle aged children who are just "graduating" from picture books to early chapter books.

New words:

Puppet: A doll like figure ,representing animals or people, made to move by a person.

Cobbled: To create something quickly with whatever materials available

Golden days: a past period of time , filled with great, happiness and joy

Obsessed: loving something too much

Encounters: meeting with a person

By Mayukha.J.R

Class :9C

Vaikom Muhammad Basheer wrote Pathumma’s Goat as a humorous and realistic story based on his own family life. The novel shows the everyday life of an ordinary village family in Kerala. Though the incidents are simple, the story beautifully presents love, poverty, relationships, and human nature with humor.

The narrator of the story is Basheer himself. After spending many years away from home, he returns to his village hoping to live peacefully and concentrate on writing. He dreams of a calm life where he can read, think, and write in silence. However, the moment he reaches home, he realizes that peace is impossible in his crowded and noisy household.

His house is always full of activity. Family members are constantly talking, arguing, laughing, or asking for money. Children run around making noise, neighbours enter freely, and domestic problems never end. Basheer feels both irritated and amused by the chaos around him. Even though he becomes angry at times, he also deeply loves his family.

One of the most memorable characters in the story is Basheer’s sister, Pathumma. She is simple, innocent, and speaks very openly. She visits the house every day along with her goat. The goat becomes the centre of many funny incidents in the story. It roams freely around the house without any control. It eats books, papers, clothes, plants, and even important manuscripts written by Basheer. Whenever Basheer becomes upset, the family treats the matter casually, which makes the situations even more humorous.

The goat symbolizes the disorder and confusion of family life. Basheer tries hard to protect his writings and belongings, but the goat continues creating trouble. Many scenes in the novel are built around Basheer’s helplessness and frustration as he watches the goat destroy things he values.

Apart from humor, the novel also shows the poverty faced by the family. Money is always a problem. Different family members come to Basheer asking for financial help because he is considered educated and successful. Although Basheer himself does not have much money, he feels emotionally responsible for them. The story presents the struggles of ordinary people in a realistic way without becoming too serious or depressing.

The conversations between the characters are one of the greatest strengths of the novel. The dialogues feel natural and lively, making readers feel as if they are listening to real people speaking inside a village home. Basheer uses very simple language filled with warmth and humor. Because of this style, the novel became popular among readers of all ages.

As the story progresses, readers understand that behind the noise and confusion there is strong affection within the family. The family members may fight, complain, and misunderstand each other, but they remain connected through love and care. Basheer slowly accepts the disorder around him and realizes that these relationships give meaning to life.

The novel does not follow a strict plot with major twists or dramatic events. Instead, it focuses on small everyday incidents that together create a vivid picture of family life. This simplicity is what makes the story unique and realistic.

In the end, Pathumma’s Goat becomes more than just a funny story about a troublesome goat. It is a touching portrayal of human relationships, poverty, village culture, and the beauty hidden inside ordinary life. Through humor and simplicity, Basheer reminds readers to appreciate family, love, and the small moments of everyday living.

Nivedya R Nair

class-9D

Arthur Conan Doyle wrote this famous mystery novel featuring the detective Sherlock Holmes and his friend Dr. Watson. The story combines mystery, suspense, fear, and clever detective work.

The story begins when Dr. James Mortimer visits Sherlock Holmes in London. He tells Holmes about the mysterious death of Sir Charles Baskerville, a wealthy man who lived at Baskerville Hall in Devonshire. According to an old family legend, the Baskerville family is cursed by a terrifying supernatural hound. Many people believe that the giant dog caused Sir Charles’s death.

After Sir Charles dies, his nephew, Sir Henry Baskerville, arrives from Canada to inherit the Baskerville estate. Soon strange things begin to happen. Sir Henry receives an anonymous warning letter telling him to stay away from Baskerville Hall. One of his shoes also disappears mysteriously. Holmes realizes that someone may be trying to frighten or harm Sir Henry.

Holmes sends Dr. Watson with Sir Henry to Baskerville Hall while he secretly continues investigating the case in London. When Watson arrives at the lonely mansion, he notices the dark and frightening atmosphere of the moor surrounding the house. The moor is filled with fog, strange sounds, and dangerous places. Local people are terrified because they believe the ghostly hound still roams there at night.

Watson carefully observes the people connected with Baskerville Hall. He meets the Barrymores, the servants of the house, and discovers that they are behaving suspiciously. Watson also learns about a dangerous escaped prisoner hiding on the moor. At the same time, he notices a mysterious man secretly watching them from the hills.

As the investigation continues, strange events increase. People claim to hear the terrifying howl of the giant hound during the night. Watson becomes more worried about Sir Henry’s safety. Finally, Sherlock Holmes suddenly appears at Baskerville Hall and reveals that he has actually been secretly investigating nearby the whole time.

Holmes discovers that the true criminal is Jack Stapleton, a seemingly friendly naturalist who lives near the moor. Stapleton is actually a hidden member of the Baskerville family who wants to inherit the family fortune. To achieve this, he uses a large fierce dog covered with glowing paint to create the appearance of a supernatural monster. He used the hound to frighten Sir Charles to death and planned to kill Sir Henry next.

Holmes sets a trap to catch Stapleton. One night, Stapleton releases the terrifying hound to attack Sir Henry. Holmes and Watson shoot the dog and save Sir Henry just in time. Stapleton tries to escape across the dangerous moor but disappears into the deadly swamp and is believed to have died there.

In the end, Holmes explains every detail of the mystery. The “supernatural” hound was actually part of Stapleton’s evil plan. The story ends with justice being served and the Baskerville family finally safe from danger.

Nivedya R Nair

class-9D

Charles Dickens

Oliver Twist is a powerful and gripping story that exposes the harsh realities of Victorian London through the eyes of a young orphan. Oliver faces incredible hardships, from the cruel conditions of the workhouse—where he famously dares to ask for more food—to the dangerous streets where he is taken in by the manipulative Fagin and his gang of young pickpockets. What I liked most about the book is Oliver’s resilience; despite being surrounded by greed, betrayal, and criminals like the terrifying Bill Sikes, he manages to keep his kind heart and innocence. The novel has a lot of suspense and memorable characters, though the older language can be a bit challenging to read at times. Overall, it is a sad but inspiring story about survival, justice, and the importance of compassion.

Meenakshi S

9D

Hana Tooke

The Unadoptables by Hana Tooke is an exciting and heartwarming mystery about five extraordinary orphans—Milou, Lotta, Egg, Fenna, and Sem—who live in a cruel Amsterdam orphanage in 1892. Each of them has a unique talent, like Milou’s amazing intuition or Egg’s incredible talent for drawing maps, which makes them stand out, but the mean matron calls them "unadoptable." When a sinister gentleman tries to buy them, the group pulls off a daring escape and goes on a thrilling adventure through frozen canals to find Milou’s real family and a place where they truly belong. I loved how the story focuses on friendship, bravery, and the idea that you can choose your own family. It has a slightly dark and spooky atmosphere, but the bond between the kids makes it feel warm and inspiring.

Meenakshi S

9D

Emily Blejwas

Once You Know This by Emily Blejwas is a really moving and realistic book about an eleven-year-old girl named Brittany who is trying to find a better life for herself, her mom, and her baby brother while dealing with a lot of tough challenges at home. Even though her family faces hard times with poverty and a really difficult family situation, Brittany doesn't give up and tries to make a "Plan B" to change her future from looking like a plain white sky. I loved how her friendship with Marisol and the encouragement from her school teacher help her keep going, showing how important it is to have people who believe in you. It can be a bit sad and heavy at times because it deals with some real-world problems, but watching Brittany discover her own strength made the story feel super hopeful and inspiring in the end.

Meenakshi S

9D

Author:Aka Akasaka

Review:

Honestly , I thought reading manga would be kind of awesome, but this one was not what i expected.....I brought this from the recent book fair just months back, and since i was a "Non- manga experienced person", i found it full of twists and turns, and surprisingly, it was really fun to read. Reading this manga was so hilarious, especially with Kaguya and Shirogane's "mind battle games", which always kept backfiring at eachother. I was so lost in this book, that i even forgot to take a look at my phone. It made me completely engaged, from the first page ownwards, and i didn't feel a single moment of boredom. It all starts with with two geniuses-Kaguya Shinomiya(student council vice president), and Miyuki Shirogane(student council president),both secretly admire eachother, but due to their pride and incredible stubborness , neither of them is willing to confess first. Instead, they force the other to admit it,but neither of them ever does. ...Even something as simple as a riddle, becomes a tug of war between them ,with neither of the two ready to admit. The reason i love it because the battles are super dramatic ,humorous, and the way their plans backfire, makes the story even more better and exciting too. This manga showed me how small moments, can turn into big -"mind" battles when we refuse to open up. I also learned, that with pride and stubborness, even simple things could get complicated, so its better to be honest. I recommend this book more grown ups particularly teens aged 14 and above , who enjoy reading comedy, school life and clever "mind battles"......

New words: Back fire: plan goes wrong, causing the opposite consequence

Engaged: completely focused

Tug of war: struggle to win between two sides

Stubbornness: not changing your mind

By Mayukha.J.R

Class:9C

Author: Aka Akasaka

Review:

Ok.... maybe i got a little too excited to buy another edition..... and this one was a lot more intense than the first one, so i felt like the story was going even deeper..... its still had the old humor, but it was serious too, particularly with Ishigami's(shirogane's pal) parts, his gloomy personality made the story more real too. I didn't get the 2nd edition, because the book fair was filled with lots of people and the books were running out too, so i had to turn towards this one instead.... I liked this book, and i found it really entertaining, but a little too intense and dramatic......there are a lot of battles between shirogane, and Kaguya, so there is nothing too much special to talk about about....In battle 78, which was actually the funniest part, where Kaguya and Shirogane was "accidently" locked inside a room, what started as a silly situation which turned into a literal, dramatic scene, and they actually almost confessed to eachother, but still ,their pride let them down again .There is a lot of funny moments, due to both of their persistence to force the other to admit their feelings, including Ishigami's gloomy moments. The scene that i loved the most is when, Shirogane accidently brushed his hand over Kaguya's cheek, to fix her hair. She instantly, collapsed for no apparent reason, until a doctor examined her, claiming that she had fallen due to the shock, and the doctor even called it as "love- sickness"!!.. This part was so hilarious, because even a small gesture, turned into an "emergency situation". Overall, this book taught me that life can be both funny ,and a teeny tiny bit serious at the same time.I recommend this book to teens ,nearly the age of 14-15, who enjoys entertainment, with a mix of humor, drama, and a little bit of love rivalary.

New words:

collapse: to fall down suddenly

Persistence- stubborness

gloomy personality: someone who is usally sad

confess: to say the truth

rivalry: kind of a competition

By, Mayukha.J.R

Class:9C

To Kill a Mockingbird is a famous novel set in a small town in Alabama during the 1930s. The story is told through the eyes of a young girl named Scout Finch. Scout lives with her brother Jem and their father, Atticus Finch, a kind and honest lawyer.

The story focuses on Atticus defending a Black man named Tom Robinson, who is falsely accused of a crime. Through this case, Scout and Jem learn about racism, injustice, courage, and compassion. Along with serious themes, the book also includes childhood adventures and the children’s curiosity about their mysterious neighbor, Boo Radley. I liked this book because it teaches important lessons about kindness, equality, and standing up for what is right. Atticus Finch’s character was inspiring because he remained brave and fair even when many people disagreed with him.

I learnt that people should not judge others based on their appearance, race, or background.

I waited a long time to read this book, I came across this book much earlier but I had to wait until I am fourteen years old mainly due to strict parental controls. Anyways, I do not think a casual reader would not like this book because the writing is not very simple/easy to understand, at least for me, it took me multiple tries to understand certain lines as it uses confusing language. The story is mainly based on the story of a serial killer named Dexter Morgan. Talk about a sane serial killer. Dexter was unlike any other serial killer, he only goes after the bad guys in town. The story takes place in the city of Miami, Florida. This specific book focuses on Dexter trying to hunt down a serial killer, whose crime scenes were specifically crafted for Dexter. Because, the killer was none other than Dexter’s real brother, Brian Moser. Brian and Dexter were separated when they were young. Dexter was adopted and Brian was sent to an asylum. Now both of them grow into becoming killers. I will not spoil the ending because you have to read it! Trust me, the BEST book I have ever read.

Submitted by - Sravan Dath VS, Class 9D

by:-

Helen Keller

It is a amazing autobiography of woman named Helen Keller [ who was both deaf and blind at very young age due to illness ] who dream to see and imagine the world without the help of eyes , only through communication, understanding , patience and most importantly by education . It start by introducing Helen's childhood by describing a sudden illness in her life when she was 19 months old , which causes her to be blind and deaf , which ,made her more frustrated and isolate from society . When her family came to know about a deaf and blind child who pursue knowledge they became motivated to give essential practice for Helen , for that they visited Alexander Graham Bell [ a famous inventor ] who introduce the Perkin's school for blind students . Soon, a teacher named Anne Sullivan is sent to teach Helen. First it take time to Helen to understand , then slowly she try to understand the things using feelings and communicate through symbols . The first word she learn with complete understand and express through symbols was '' W-A-T-E-R '' through the feeling of cold water pour by her teacher . Slowly she try to connect with nature by experiencing storm ,wind , laying on grass , touching the leaves and soil and by touching and smelling . Then she learn the Braille script which enhance her knowledge . Then she slowly developed the urge for pursuing more knowledge .With the help of her teacher and personal mentor Anne Sullivan and with Helen's great dedication she got admission in Radcliffe College, the women's college of Harvard University in Massachusetts. In 1904, she graduated in bachelor of arts , by making a history on first deaf and blind to earn a college degree . At last she shared her deep interest in books and telling that '' literature is her utopia '' .And being thankful for everyone who came to her dark area to make it brighter as sunshine and make her able to see and listen the world without ears or eyes .

This book is highly inspiring , by teaching us that we don't need eyes to dream , even in the darkest time we are able to find the true sunshine in our life which is going to make our life so brighter than ever . And also an example of , education is the key to success , sometime [ like in the situation in Helen Keller life ] that sunshine might be education which give bright without eyes .

by:-

Ameyasree M S

9 C

Even though it was written for warfare, many of its lessons can also be used in daily life, leadership, studies, and decision-making. The book talks about understanding situations carefully, thinking before acting, and staying calm during difficult times.

My Reading Experience:

At first, I thought this book would only be about battles and armies, but I realized it had many life lessons too. Some parts were a little difficult because of the old style of writing, but many quotes were interesting and made me think differently.

by:-

Anne Frank

I loved to read autobiographies of different famous people because of the curious to know about the background and difficulties overcome by them . Just because of that curious I try the book ''The diary of a young girl '' which was different from other autobiographies because it was mostly the diary entries of young girl about her personal experience as a jew who lived under the governance of Navis with the leadership of Adolf Hitler. At the beginning Anne introduce her childhood and the strict Navis law which every jews has to follow compulsory , then the call notice to Anne older sister came with the information to join to German labor camp , After that Frank family immediately went to hiding in secret annex [ a secret place situated near the Otto Frank's office ].

After that one more jew family joined with them , then she explained the living situation and adjustment between eight people in a limited space . About Her teenage emotions like aggressiveness , [feel like no one is understanding her feelings ] and love . Also mention the tension started between that eight jews because of the frequent bombing at outside , to prevent the catching they maximum try to keep absolute silence in morning times . Her last entry [ last chapter] was wrote on August 1 1944 in that she explain about her dual personality , and contrasting her internal good self with superficial , outspoken exterior which often criticize by adults .

I wish the people who read this review to read this book , to know about Anne Frank and other character like Otto frank , Peter van Daan etc completely . Because I am not interest to spoil your excitement to read this book . My personal experience from this book is , it contain more emotion even more if we find about many incident happen in Germany in olden days to the jew religion and the future situation to Anne Frank and her family especially when we came to the van Daan family . Some portion would relatable by teenage character and behaviour .

by:- Ameyasree M S

9 C
