God's hand was really shown when she was in the hospital and many don't survive that situation, but she did and is now living mostly normal life but in a wheelchair. God has the power to drastically change our lives to come closer to him. before, Joni was had just accepted her faith as "oh, now i'm saved, ok, live normal life!" but after her accident, when God gave her the basics- food, water, and a roof- she realized how much she needed to change.
