How did it Turn out
The final product is drastically different to what it was originally planned to be. The biggest change was the change of the hero character, it was originally going to be a samurai warrior, however due to the uncooperative of the Styrofoam and with very little time, was changed to a armored serpent with and sword and shield for hands.
Because of this complication a drastic change of character was needed, as i had some spare plastercine and oven baked clay i came up with an idea of a warrior god monster, a serpent beast with silver armour and a sword and shield for hands.
How well did it go- Did it go as planned
The stop motion is half of what the original vision was going to be, by this i mean that there were quite a few complications that prevented from the plan to be fully went with, for example the samurai could not be produced so i compromised it for a clay-mation armoured serpent instead, and with time constraints i could not produce the action scenes like the breath attacks or add in the details to the background. However with that said i do believe that i did well with animating the puppets and i easily hid the shameful details like noticeable jagged movements and finger print marks. The designs of the creatures did go well as planned, especially the armoured serpent which was a last minute creation.
What could be Improved/Could've done better
If i had managed by production much earlier and more organised i would've had the props ready much earlier and the stop motion would've been more organised, more cinematic and had the intended vfx that i was planning for. With more time i could've made a film that was more than 30 seconds and edited it down to 30 seconds while also keeping it consistent and cinematic.

Harvin Grades. Distinction

A great stop motion Harvin with some really well made puppets for your title characters. You have deployed a number techniques and processes in the animating of your characters and you have deployed a number of different shots in the sequence to create a narrative of sorts.

I would like to maybe see some close ups on the monsters and possibly close ups on the damage that they inflict to each other to add even more variety to the shots and ramp up the gore factor. This could easily be added and despite getting a distinction it would be great to see you add these ready for your show reel. Well done fella

The overall animation was interesting and visually entertaining. The models looked like you put a lot of effort into them. There could be close ups but you have already included some different and good shots. The only thing I would do to make this a better animation, is to add sound design to it. The movements looked smooth. I can see you have done a great job on this animation

This is a brilliant animation. I loved the theme and your models. The use of colours are great, also the shot types you have portrayed are very well done. I liked the set design a great deal too. Overall it's a great animation and the only criticism I could have is I wish it was longer. Well done Harvin.

Great mate ! really good animation and extremely good design of the models. they only thing i would have to say is that there could be some sound but that's not to hard and maybe next time create a background with rocks and mountings ect...
