    • Hero means someone who is courageous and brave. It is someone who can accomplish something even if they thought they could not. I think it is someone who goes for their dreams. Lastly, it is someone who does not give up. 
    I think firefighters ARE MODERN-DAY HEROES. I also consider EMT’s and doctors to be modern-day heroes.

    I would consider my Mom a hero. I would consider her a hero because she has never given up. She is also going to school to be an LADC.  She has got a new job that she really likes. This is why I would consider my mom a hero. 
    What does the word “Home” mean to you?

    The word home means a place with something that makes you feel comfortable. I do not think of a home as being in one place and is more of the people who you are with. You can make a “home”/place your home. The definition of home as an adjective is “relating to the place where one lives.”.

They don't care about themselves at the moment and just want to do something for the greater good of society. They try their best to make a change and strive for any progress towards that change. They can also just be the people that make an impact on one person's life, helping them get through tough times and just keeping them afloat. Modern-day heroes for me are climate activists, nurses/all healthcare providers, and any sort of non-white protesters that have literally put their lives on the line and fought back against white supremacy for all of their life. As well as all of my LGBTQ+ elders that have fought for and died for what I have today. 
    My hero would have to be my sister. She's helped me through literally everything and has made herself known to me and so many people that she's there for them. A rock to lean on if you will. 
    The word home implies a place where you feel safe, welcomed, and at ease. Someone who doesn't do good thing for praise or rewards, not to be seen as a good person, but just because it's the right thing. A hero doesn't need to be someone who saves 100's of lives, but just consistently does the right thing. 

    I don't think of anyone as my hero. There are people who have helped me and others in time, but I believe that no one is truly a hero.

    To me home is a place where you feel safe, physically and emotionally. Any place where you feel you can be yourself. Could be as simple as a classroom. A hero is someone who is brave, caring, strong, justified/justifiable, and steps in when they are needed. I grew up hearing that most heroes don't wear capes and I wholeheartedly believe that everybody is a hero in somebody's eyes. A hero doesn't make fun of others or put them down either. They seemingly always know the right thing to do but aren't hated for making mistakes or still making to wrong choices every now and again.
    2. I think both my brothers are heros because they're going through unimaginable stress and still power through it all. I strive to have their willpower.
    3. Home is a place where no matter what is happening in life you can feel safe. Home is a safe space and should be treated as such.
