there are approximately 250000 filipinos living in hong kong. they are one of the largest ethnic minorities in the region, primarily migrant workers.

A popular dish is “adobo” which consists of meat marinated in vinegar, soy sauce, garlic, and spices, then slow-cooked.

the “chater garden” is a well-known gathering place for the filipino community, it is located in central. on sundays when many filipinos have their day off. It becomes a very crowded place.

Japanese Culture

1. According to data from mid-2025, there were about 10,300 Japanese people in Hong Kong. They usually live in Kowloon City district or the generally Eastern part of Hong Kong.

2. Japan is famous for their cuisine, emphasising on freshness and balance. Common dishes include miso soup and rice, soba, udon, sushi, tempura, etc. There are various restaurants that serve Japanese style food, such as Nabe Urawa (牛氣), Watami, Yakiniku Like and other hot pot places.

3. There is a Japanese International Primary School located near our school. These types of schools are made for people of other ethnicities and provide suitable education for foreigners.

It features a lot of small and medium sized businesses that has shaped it into the Thai community it is today(particularly around the South Wall Road)

Another aspect of Thai culture is their religion, containing unique practices carried out, which most of them believing in the Buddha, otherwise known as Buddhism. According to the joshuaprojet.net, 99% of Thai minority in Hong Kong have strong beliefs in the Buddha and worship it as its main patron. They are very religious and respectful.
