         <description><![CDATA[<div>Wide ranging, including:<br>- We looked through the ETF digital resources and will continue to discuss how we might use these.   Everyone liked the Likert scale but there was some difficulty with terminology and anyone would need digital skills to access the materials.  Liked: the 'try it yourself' section; short videos and screen grabs.<br>- issues in each provider<br>- how to support practitioner to have transferable skills. Or is it about 'fluency'<br>- We discussed the consultation's focus on qualification promote 'rehearsing recipes', which might not be transferable.  Colleagues shared their approaches e.g. relating everything digital to something more familiar e.g. using a washing machine (will the new one still wash socks?).  Reviewing Wikipedia - looking at the content for a topic the learners are familiar with - is it correct?<br>- Glossary/terminology of IT/Digital, is this in itself a barrier - there was some terminology in the ETF Digital materials that we would have given different definitions to.<br>- Adopt/adapt/create <a href="https://library.bridgew.edu/guides/oer/adopt-adapt-create">https://library.bridgew.edu/guides/oer/adopt-adapt-create</a><br>- Learners still need 'practical' experience e.g. still need to be able to use a protractor, not just an online version.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>If you use 'digital' in your role then a couple of things you need to know re: GDPR compliance:<br> 1. Laptops, phones and any portable media device you use must be encrypted so only someone with the passkey is able to boot it up or use it. <br>Remember: A password does NOT necessarily mean it is encrypted.<br> 2. Any cloud storage (Like Google Docs, OneDrive etc) must have and use UK based servers upon which your data will be stored. (Check with the provider either via website or email)</div>]]></description>
