The  main theme of the story line was all about saving the earth and battling the decepticon. The first episode was aired in 1984 episode "The Rebirth".The series got many reviews and they continued til 1987. The series also made money off of the toys when the show ran. I know a few people who have grown up withe show. My father, my third period teacher, and my brother.
