When the characters in persepolis started a strike against the revolution, I got reminded of when the strikes against the military started a few years ago.

Like the protests in persepolis, the strikes against the military would often go until night and every day I would hear the chants whenever I woke up.

This reminds me of what’s happening in Burma. Right now Burma has trapped a lot of innocent people in jail. Just like in Persepolis there were hero who were trapped as prisoners. Many people were also killed in Burma for protesting. In Persepolis many protesters died. The government trapping their own people and killing them. Leaving them with no freedom. In Persepolis they were trying to obtain freedom too.

The hardships for women and girls during the Islamic Revolution emphasized in the book greatly reminded me of the hardships women faced during ISIS rule in the middle east.

Due to the reason stated above, the Islamic Revolution reminded me of the former ISIS Caliphate in the middle east.

god has helped me a lot. my family is very religious so I gotta do a lotta religious stuff. I feel like religion keeps people in check and it is a great thing. Sometimes I pray to god for stuff I want in a game. For example, 0.75% chance drop and sometimes I do get what I wish for.
