It was a success because we stop Japan and we stop Hitler taking over and killing Jews during this time period. The American people did not want us to go to war but when we got attack we were involved so then we had to go and get are troops and protect this country. We were view as someone that can help them do what they want us to do if they do what we want because we had power and we were on one side when we got involved. This affected us personally by now we had to make the government stop this. It affected us nationally because we got involved and now we need to attack the Japanese and stop them from invading places they do not need to invade.
