The fact that the Russians still wanted to rebel proved that some manner of the ruling of the mongols was unfair because they invaded the lands of Russia and demanded massive amounts or tribute and absolute obedience

Mongols would execute people for not showing respect to their khan for example Michael of Chernigov was Bati sent Michael to one of his followers who trampled on his chest with his boots until the prince died. Meanwhile the prince comforted one of his soldiers who stood near by him by saying: 'Be strong because your punishment will not last long and then at once eternal joy will follow.' After this his head was cut off quickly with a knife. The soldier, to tell the truth, also had his head cut off with a knife.Mongol system was to place Vassal princes who were expected to pay tribute to the Mongols for the privilege of holding their own kingdom (Roy 8). The result was harsh rule that turned most Russians into serfs because of such of the high price in tribute which was 10% of the civilations total income and destroyed the Russian economy, most importantly in regard to trade

Ivan III had a 43 year reign over Moscow, as a prince he went against Mongol rule. He even took on the name Czar and stated that he would make Russia the "Third Rome." Ivan III refused to pay tribute to the Mongols causing a conflict involving both armies. However, both sides did not advance after a long stand-off and instead retreated and went back home. This counted as a loss on the Mongols side and got marked as Russia's liberation from Mongol rule. Right after, Russia continued to pursue their goal to become an Empire.

" They [the Mongols] attacked Rus', where they made great havoc, destroying cities and fortresses and slaughtering men; and they laid siege to Kiev, the capital of Rus'; after they had besieged the city for a long time, they took it and put the inhabitants to death."
---
" Centers such as Kiev took centuries to rebuild and recover from the devastation of the initial attack. "

The information provided from the source can help me prove the damage the Mongols did to Russia. It can explain how affected Russia was afterwards, and how it took centuries to be able to rebuild the capital and other cities. This evidence also explains the negative reaction the attack of the Mongols had on Russia.
