Pray for a clear conversation with my mom about the differences between Jehovah's Witnesses and the simple gospel truth of Jesus Christ. Pray that I would be patient and loving as I answer her questions and strive to show Jesus in my speech rather than be quick to anger. She says that she listens to their bible studies to learn about history, but hopefully as I share with her the good news, the word of God can become more personally involving rather than mere speculation and pondering.

Pray that I stay connected with peers and friends from GP over the break and to not fall into loneliness and spend too much idle time. Also pray that my grandma would take the gospel message more to heart as the way, rather than just a way.

Pray for the upcoming Winter Welcome Night in about 2-3 weeks that many of the Seniors will be hosting. That many new students can come and that it can be a great way to start 2021.

Also pray that COVID cases can drastically go down now that two vaccines are making their way out.

Pray for time with family and that it can be a way to connect with my youngest sister and that she can make progress toward warming up to Christianity.

Pray for the upcoming 2021 church planting initiative as our whole church gets mobilized to take on this new endeavor.

Pray for opportunities for deeper spiritual conversations with my mom about the Christmas and gospel message. She has been tuning into the language services but finds them more to be interesting stories rather than truths that address her as well, and when trying to converse with her about them, she quickly jumps topics. Pray that I wouldn't quickly give up even if she shows lack of interest and response.

Prayer that I would have opportunities to share more deeply about the gospel to my parents and younger sister as they are seemingly nominal Christians, holding to tradition rather than being fully surrendered to Christ. Pray for the time I'll be having with Sheri's parents, who are both non-Christian. Pray for their hearts to be soft, to be open to conversation about Christmas, and see their own sins and brokenness so that Christmas would be seen as good news to them. I can get impatient with them and discouraged when my efforts to love them don’t seem to make a difference but I pray I may remember the Christmas msg of how Jesus came to be with us, how he loved us and be encouraged to continue loving them in his name.

Pray for my mum as she recently lost her father. My grandfather passed away unexpectedly and it has been really hard for her to deal with the pain, pray for her to rely on God during this time and be able to see His love in her life.

Pray for some of my friends and family who are recently sick with COVID. Pray that I can be able to use this time to connect more with them and have spiritual conversations, show them love and care even though I cannot be physically close to them.

Please pray for my dad - he grew up going to a Catholic school and talks about how he was an altar boy, but he's not sure about God, or at least the Christian God. One major hangup he has is that if the reality of heaven and hell is true, then his own dad who was not a professed Christian may be lost forever. Please pray for my time with my family during the Christmas season for spiritual conversations and an openness for him to even explore spiritual topics despite this. I'll be inviting him to join me for New Year's Eve service, so please pray that he'd be open to listen with me and have conversation afterwards.

- Tiffany: meeting on Tu 12/22, pray that I would be bold since we do have differing political and religious views, and I'm fearful of bringing up anything that would upset her. Pray that I would just be honest, rather than avoiding the topic of religion, since it's such a big part of my life.
- Kelly: meeting on Thu 12/23, pray for deeper conversation, for me to be honest about my church involvement and to ask her about her beliefs. Please pray for boldness to bring the conversation here.

-answered prayer of having more spiritual conversation with my friend Tiffany, and also got to hear that she's been feeling purposeless and regretful, so I'm thankful for her honesty and better know how to love & pray for her
-answered prayer with Kelly: she asked me questions about how I got involved with church, so I got to share my testimony & we discussed science & faith - I was so encouraged, and she also said she would check out the special NY SWS!

- brother (sr at Cal) and sister (soph at Cal) to be interestd in spiritual conversations and to be open to attending SWS or watching Chosen
- parents to really consider the claims of Christianity (dad is agnostic, mom is culturally Catholic) My dad "doesn't really find Christianity for him" and my mom has a hard time attending every Sunday as more responsibilities are given to her

High school friends
- Eugene: hard to get ahold of, Pastor's kid, but saw hypocrisy between how people acted at church vs at home. Pray that I could get a hold of him and really encourage him to give Christianity a second chance
- Jayson: tough living situation currently, not as open to spiritual conversations. Grew up going to church irregularly, stopped seeing the point of it and says it's "not for him"

Brandon identifies himself as an atheist and seems to think it's foolish to believe in a higher power.

Ricky thinks it's good for people to have a faith, but he doesn't seem to think there is objectivity and truth to what someone chooses to believe.

Pray for my friend back home as he grew up in a Buddhist household and sees religion as mind numbing and less as a belief- Benjamin. Recently, we started talking and catching up and had some spiritual conversations.

Also please pray for my friend David who I've known since childhood and recently reached showed interest in Christianity after I became a Christian.

Also, for my parents who were the very first to know about me going to church and have been supportive of me. Pray that they may also experience the same joy and wonder I have/ had when I started first exploring.

I'd like to pray for myself to have the courage to initiate these spiritual conversations (I've done a little but not as much as I feel I ought to). I'd like to pray for my mom, I'm not really sure where she is spiritually but she doesn't seem very open. I'd also like to pray for my sister in hopes that her spiritual hunger doesn't dwindle (I hope to have the courage to help with that more). For both of them I think it's so easy to get lost in the world and I pray I don't lose my opportunity to reach them.

Pray for my immediate family. Pray that after years of being separated and hostile because of infidelity, that my parent's relationship will be healed and that my parents can forgive each other. Pray that through the gospel, my mom's heart can be healed, and that she can have reason to forgive. Pray that she does not get overwhelmed in her emotions and what was done in the past. Pray that my dad can see the ugliness of his sins, and repent. Pray that God can work in both their hearts to repent and forgive.

Pray for my own heart, as I easily get discouraged when fights break out. Pray for my own personal forgiveness, and protection from emotions of anger or doubt. Pray for wisdom and guidance from God on how to love and minister to my family.

Pray that both my parents can be receptive to the gospel. Pray that my mom can personalize the gospel, and really take it to heart. Pray that she can turn to Jesus for comfort. Pray that my dad can be interested in the gospel, and have a hunger to explore it and relate to it.

I was able to have a conversation with my mom - she has a very elementary understanding about God (that he is real, that he helps us in times of weakness, listens to our prayers), but she has been writing down 1 chapter of the NT each day. She is currently on Romans, and said it's hard to understand! I offered to meet up with her weekly and discuss Romans together, and she did not reject my offer as I thought she might but said she would consider it! I also brought up online C101 in Korean and she said maybe after she finishes the NT she will check it out, so I am hoping that we can go through that together! PTL :)

Please pray for my cousins & sister that they can come back to church. We all went to church growing up, but once we all went to college, they all started to stray away. It's understandable as all of us didn't have the best experience in church. But pray that they would feel a conviction and reason to call to Jesus again and therefore come back to the church community.

We had a meaningful time with Dave's family. Dave's youngest sister who is usually doing her own thing, joined us the whole time even while singing hymns like Silent Night, Holy Night, and Amazing Grace. She reminisced about times at church when she was younger. Overall, it was a really nice bonding time and tho she's usually moody she was in a good mood during our time together.
