Rory Swenson has been waiting her whole life to turn twelve. She has been making a list ever sence she was little when her parents told her you can do it when you are twelve. And she did actually wait till she was twelve. She was now able to use the often on her own, wear make up, get a pet, and many more. She has been so prepard and wanting to do these things which just came to a hot mess. She wants to do things, but after you do them you reliaze that growing up is not really that fun. Also, once when Rory was in need of something Angelina D Angolo told her these exact words " You don't what you want till you see waht you need". As Rory tried to do the things on her list, she instead was do other people a favor. So when her  things didn't work out she helped other people and their needs.

This book all began when Thea and her mouselet friends, the Thea sisters, were chatting in their room. When Thea came, she told the mouselets that Will Mystery has a mission for them. The mission was that under water there was a special place called Aquamarina that was in danger. It was in danger because the lovely, beautiful music of the sea had been stolen, and without the music of the sea, the fantasy world could disappear at any moment. 
On their mission, they had to battle through a firece dragon, a cranky hermit crab, a giant squid and even Colossus, a humongous whale! They managed to retrieve the four strings that were put back on the Sea Violin for Queen Anemone. She played the violin beautifully and an ancient mystery was solved. Tara has made it to the train station ready to go to Willow 
Falls for 3 months. That's right, away from the parents that never left her alone, to her aunt, uncle, and little cousin Emily. Why am I even here in the first place? Oh right, tip: don't steal the principal's stuffed goat in order to sit with the popular girls at school! In my case, I got suspended for the last two weeks of school and my parents sent me to Willow Falls while they got to go to Madagasgar. If that's the real reason why. When Tara got to Willow Falls, she immediately made four friends Leo, Amanda, Rory, and David. David is Jewish and invited Tara to his Bar Mitzvah and Tara wants to give him a really nice gift. Unfortunately, on the train ride there, she lost her mom's iPod and iPad + 200 dollars. One dark night, Tara snuck down her aunt's fancy house into her uncle's comic book collectible room. The next morning, she went to go sell it to a thrift shop. But Angelina D' Angelo owned the shop and had given her uncle the comic. She told Tara that if she didn't tell anyone that she stole it, Tara would have to do something for her. In return, Tara had to find items on a list for Fidler on the Roof. Tara not only found the real past about her parents and why she was really here, and found out a lot of things about other people. And learned the real message of life.

This is a fascinating book set  in 1943 during World War II. A 10 year-old girl named Annmarie, her little 5 year-old sister, and her best friend Ellen were all in the middle of it. Unfortunately, cruel Hitler wanted everyone to be like him, and to look like him. Otherwise, he would send his Nazi soliders to go and kill all the Jews. And to make matters worse, Ellen was a Jew. The real reason why Annmarie and her family were so scard of Hitler was because her older sister Lise, and her soon-to-be husband were trying to help the Jews. But instead Lise and Peter got caught and they got killed. Annmarie and her family tried to keep her best friend alive. They spent days at her uncle Henrik's house who is a fisherman, and  Annmarie even had to straight up talk to a Nazi solider. But in the end, everyone was okay, and the war ended. And Ellen was okay, Annmarie was okay, and so was her family.
