It made me realize that I want to change my thesis statement and topic.

What makes a good mother? Most people would say, "Just love 'em. That's all you have to do and the rest will fall into place. Just do your best." Even some moms would tell you that. Sure, being a mom is hard. You're molding a very impressionable mind into their own person. However, being a good mom is being a good example for your kids and practicing what you preach. It is not expecting your children to grow up to a specific standard or expectation because it's what you want. Being a good mom means having a healthy realization that your child will grow up to be their own person with their own beliefs. It is just our job to help guide them in the right direction and help them learn right from wrong and to be a functional human being. Now, that isn't to say that loving your children isn't also important... because it is, but it certainly is not the only important thing.
