         <description><![CDATA[<div>The objective of this crime prevention strategy is to increase self-control through mindfulness in order to reduce drug-related crime.  This project is based in developmental prevention.  Mindfulness exercises are used in key phases of transition in childhood and adolescence in order to increase self-control, as self-control is a risk factor for both anti-social behaviour and substance abuse.<br>This program would be administered in classrooms by teachers during the first year of primary school (approximately six years old), the first year of high school (approximately twelve years old) and the final year of high school (approximately seventeen years old).  The program is a long-term one, with students participating in all three years.</div>]]></description>
