So, Fares Karam is a Lebanese singer who originated from Jezzie (which is a city of Lebanon), his piece Badna Nwalela describes how one can find the hope of overcoming loneliness by finding your soulmate. It consists of the Americanized hip hop with gentle love lyrics which are sung in Arabic; furthermore, it's a viral song and lives up to Fares' reputation. He's created this piece after he got married to his love he's known for six years that cured his long-lasting depression, so he's decided to make others have the choice to do the same.

Say why you chose it and what you love about it

To be quite honest, this was actually the first Arabic song I've listened to in my life, and I've enjoyed it because not only it has a catchy rhythm, but also because it's a unique style of music which consists of foreign vocals with American hip-hop. I'm also Arabic, but it was until last year that I've started to be engaged with my culture, so listening to Arabic songs like this one encourages me to keep going. I'm also visiting Beirut Lebanon currently for the summer, and I've heard music performed by him performed mostly on the radio. Nevertheless, I can't read Arabic nor speak it fluently, but I can understand it since it's my secondary language, so I do hope I can learn how to speak the language soon and for you guys to enjoy the piece as well :).
