To begin with, social media serves as convenient communication tool for many people. As has been noted in Melissa Healy’s article, “Teenage Social Media,” she states that electronics actually allow adolescents to strengthen their ability to communicate and work with others (para.2). As a matter of fact, teens who are socially awkward will now use an alternative and convenient way to connect and socialize with others. In fact, social media provides a comfortable environment for teenagers to practice their conversing skills before engaging in a face-to-face communication.

To conclude, the question of whether social media is bad for teens complicated. After reviewing what are some teens had to say about social networking, I strongly believe that social network is unbeneficial to some teens that doesn't feel safe about it. It unbeneficial for teens because it was unconscious for those teens that who been hacked and hijacked their computers. My analysis of this issue had left me with little doubt that teens should be careful with their own personal information and shared them. On the video, some teens think that social networking is good for communicate like online friends and stuff. Like some teens think that they get to meet new friends from online resources until they realize they got hacked from their account. Some teens were like been scared and afraid their social account had controlled then the hackers using whatever they have like using the teens online money to buy stuff or their credits was been used by the hackers. Hackers are pretty smart that can hack through computers to social media. Teens have to be careful of many hackers that can hack through their personal accounts. Social media is a 50 50 percent chance that some teens thinks it might be safe through their own personal accounts. According to the video, teens explain how and why the hackers can do such things as access their networks and steal their online credits. People spend 2-5 hours of screen time. If they spend 7 hours of screen time, it might effect your G.P.A. and your grades gets lower and lower. The limit of the screen time is 2 to 3 hours only for students. Kids had spend maybe 2 1/2 hours of texting each day. 21% of kids consume more than 16 hours of media a day. Some people might go to some inappropriate websites that can be hacked and getting virus on their computer.
